New and experienced students in Ikebana are welcome to enrol anytime during the year.
Email us to let us know which day you wish to attend your first lesson. Lessons (around one hour) are held during these times at our studio:

Trial LessonsWe offer trial lessons during our regular class time (Tuesdays 10:30-12:30 and 14:30-16:30) and on Saturdays. Trial lessons are $700/lesson, inclusive of floral materials. Bring yourself or bring a friend. Email us to book ahead!

Courses at HKU SpaceTo enrol in one of two introductory courses at HKU Space, please apply directly on the HKU Space website. Course terms typically run from April to June, and October to December. Japanese Floral Arrangement I Japanese Floral Arrangment II

Certification by SogetsuCertificates of completion for each level are issued by the Sogetsu headquarters in Tokyo. Please find out more from Sogetsu website. Students are required to have knowledge in basic foundations. Most importantly, we encourage the students to enjoy Ikebana.

What is each lesson like?Each lesson is around one hour where Sensei (the Japanese for “teacher”) conducts the lessons each week. Students will learn about Ikebana to their level of experience and understanding.

What are the course fees?Our course fee is $950 per lesson. The course fee includes class notes, usage of vases and utensils at the studio and of course, the choice of floral materials.

Is attendance mandatory every week?Students can pace their own practice.
